Way to go Warragul....

Date: 30th April 2018 | Category: GORBA NEWS
 Way to Go Warragul.

Warragul is a town in Victoria, Australia, 104 kilometres (65 miles) east-southeast of Melbourne. It lies between the Strzelecki Ranges to the south and the Mount Baw Baw Plateau of the Great Dividing Range to the north. The town is named after an Aboriginal word meaning "wild dog". As at the 2016 census, the town had a population of 14,276 people.

Warragul forms part of a larger urban area that includes nearby Drouin that had an estimated population of 35,353  as of June 2016.

Warragul is the main population and service centre of the West Gippsland region and the Shire of Baw Baw. The surrounding area is noted for dairy farming and other niche agriculture and has long been producing gourmet foods.

What a great day out we had on Saturday 28th April, 2018.

Our sincere thanks for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to us by the Warragul fellow club members.

To Peter and Dee Sibson, our thanks and gratitude for opening their generous hearts and awesome shed to cater for the event.

To Mark for his mum’s delicious sweet treats.

To Eddie for overseeing the cooking of the kebabs, snags and hamburgers.
(Good knowing he's with the CFA….)

To Brian for his 'tour guiding' prowess on the bus, exhibited from Drouin to Pete’s Shed, and also for the donation of prizes for the raffle.

To Dicko for organising, driving and cleaning the bus.
(Thanks for not wearing the white socks…)

To Greg for rallying club members to attend the event.

And to all of the club members who were able to make the trip from all corners of the State…..

Thanks to everyone for making it a great day, highlighted by the sunshine and spectacular vista of the rolling hills of the region.

There's nothing better than a day out with fellow members, to just relax, spin a few yarns and simply enjoy each other’s company.

We think another visit could be on the cards for next year.
