B H Kitchens Avalon Multi Club - Saturday 12th May, 2018
Not dust as we are used to at Avalon but lots of MUD was presentenced to the 21 starters.
There did seem to be some mumbling’s amongst the racers, but anyhow we can’t please everyone.
Never the less the mud was challenging for the first two heats, but proved very good for the final heats.
Congratulations to Phil Kilworth for 1st Outright in his well-presented Sabre and also a well-deserved 2nd Outright to Dave Davis in his equally well presented Sabre. Rounding out the 3rd Outright podium were Nigel & Brock Pendlebury in their Class 2 buggy.
Bendigo’s Craig & Adam Button took the honours in a group combining Classes 4 & 5.
Also well done to Kyle & Mark Deacon on completing a double entry in their Class 5 car.
The final group combining classes 7 & 8 were lead home by James Tyrell & Rhys Elliott.
A big thanks to all the GORBA members for ordering MUD, not dust.
But seriously a special thanks to the club for hosting a well-run event. I personally heard lots of complimentary comments during the day.
Our next Club Race will be held in Moyston on the Saturday of Father’s Day in September.
