Results for the 3rd Round of the GORBA CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP - 2014

Event Name:         -  GORBA Avalon Short Course
                              -  The GORBA Mo-ffroad Championship (In association with the Movember Foundation)

Event Date:           Saturday 25th October, 2014

Venue Location:   Geelong Motor Sports Complex, Avalon Beach Rd, Avalon.

All in all, it was an eventful day with very dusty conditions greeting everyone.

The Club was proactive and made some changes to the track after the first round of heats to lessen the impact of the dust on the drivers. Heats were also split so that not as many cars were on the track at the same time.

There were 25 entries on the day with 2 of these doing double duties.

There were also some great battles as the dust seemed to equalise the field which was shown in the time sheets.

We also welcomed a couple of first timers to Off-road racing, Jamie and Lachlan Honey, who seemed to enjoy themselves.

Well done to all the Teams.

We also had Andy Dennis present from the Movember Foundation who gave a talk at Drivers Briefing to launch the initiative between all off roaders in Australia and the Movember Foundation. We had several members sign up on the day, so to all off roaders around Australia we need you blokes to MO-up and take the challenge and get some conversations about our health happening.

Special thanks to the 'Canteen Team', all the volunteers and spectators for contributing to making it a great day out.

Special thanks also to Andy Dennis for taking the time to come out to our event on behalf of the Movember Foundation.
